I am so glad I have a nice camera to take pics of my kids! It takes so much better quality pictures than my point and shoot camera. Oh I just wish I had time to really learn all about it! Hear is Summer at 3 months or so....

Oh what a tired Mom!! I was so exhausted over the Holiday's!! I am glad Jason got me a new camera for Christmas. We have so many pics of Summer's first Christmas - a time that is just a blur for me!

Jack loved Christmas this year! We had the Wright Family over to our house this year. We had a total of 7 different
gift exchanges this year!! Crazy I know!!

Dad stayed home over Christmas break! It was a week of toys!!

The boys finished up gymnastics in December. Daddy took them Saturday mornings so Mom could sleep in with the baby. Carter and Jack love gymnastics and it is a great way for them to get rid of some of that energy!!

Summer's first weeks at home...

The first week at home was great! Jason took a week off work to help out with the boys and Summer Lynn! She slept good the first few weeks then acid reflux set in and we had to get her on some prevacid. Summer had lots of visitors at the hospital and at home. Thanks to our family, friends, church, and neighbors we had lots of yummy dinners brought to us!

Summer Lynn Wright is born!

Summer was one week late from her due date so we had to induce labor and on November 12, 2009 at 1:22 pm she was born! She was 7 pounds and 20" long! Her delivery when great after I got 2 doses of pain killers. Aunt Jessie and Aunt Megan were in the delivery room this time (and of course Daddy too).

Boy's Trip to the Zoo!

Dad and Aunt Megan took Carter and Jack to the KC Zoo for the first time this year. It was a little cool out, but they had fun at all the kid stuff to there and met Sponge Bob! Megan took some great pictures of them:

Treads and Threads 2009!

Jason and I went to Treads and Threads 2009 at the Kansas Speedway (a benefit for the Cancer Center at KU Med). We had lots of good food and had fun with all the JeDunn

people there this year.

I bought a sparkly maternity dress from the Mimi outlet at the Lake of the Ozarks for $10!! Jason got me a chair and I sat part of the time out by the dance floor (wearing heels that night). I felt like a disco ball ;)

Birthday Boys

Carter turned 4 on September 22nd, and Jack turns 2 on October 25th. We surprised them with a bounce house in the back yard! I am glad it fits in the basement too so now they can go crazy down there and not on our couches!
We took Carter to Chuck E. Cheese on his birthday and had a family party for them both at our house too. Chuck E Cheese was so much fun for him because he loves playing the games then getting tickets and prizes. We will probably be back to celebrate on Jacks Birthday!

9 weeks to go!

I just got a sonogram done today...and confirmed again that baby Summer is a healthy baby girl! 9 weeks to go, and we are almost ready. I want to deep clean my whole house and get her nursery just perfect before she gets here. I need to pack our bags just in case she comes early too. I am already having little contractions here and there!

I took the kids to the lake over Labor Day and Dad stayed home to make Summer a doll house book shelf! It just needs to be painted and hung up in her room!

Lake Weekend

We brought our neighbors Loren, Bree, Asher, and baby Merrick down to the lake with us the last weekend in August. We were afraid that it would be too cool, but the weather turned out nice (August has been so cool this year). Jason and Loren wake boarded in the morning, took the kids out on the seadoo, then went for a long boat ride up to Coconuts Bar and Grill. They have a great sandy beach for the kids to play on! It was a fun weekend!

Carter and Asher have become good friends. Asher lives across the street and they hang out all the time. This weekend was a fun time for them to see each other before preschool starts up.

Shannon and Mikes Wedding

My best friend from High School Shannon, got married in August! When she asked me to be a bridesmaid I was not pregnant, but the day I picked up my dress I found out I was. After 5 or 6 trips to Davids Bridal and going up in sizes my dress finally fit me! It was so much fun being with my old friends through all the wedding festivities. I am so happy for her and Mike and I hope they continue to have a wonderful life together!

Jack's first hair cut!

Here is Jack at the park eating an apple...before his hair cut. That night we decided to go get him a little trim. I wanted to wait until he was 2, but it was getting a little out of control :)

Here is Jack at Shear Maddness by our house before his hair cut. Jason was a little upset because he loved his curls and did not want to see them go. He just got a little trim and the curls are still there!

After his hair cut...it is all slicked back. Now he needs another one already!

Carter graduates his first Gymnastics Class

Carter took gymnastics this summer. It was a good place for him to use up some energy this summer out of the heat! However he still would jump all over out couch after practice to show me his moves. Here he is getting his certificate. He was so happy when everyone clapped for him! It is Jacks turn this fall for gymnastics!

T-Bones Game

Jason got tickets through work to the TBones (minor league) game. We sat front row above the the dug out. The kids sat and watched maybe an hour total of the game, but loved drinking soda pop and eating pop corn. When Sizzle the mascot came out they got to meet him. One of the players threw Carter a baseball...then he threw it back out to another player...who threw it back. We had to explain that he could keep the ball...now it is favorite to play catch with!

Vegas Trip

The first week of June we had a girls trip to Vegas! Here is Megan, Amber, Me, and Jessie in front of the Bellaigo.
One night we went to see the water show "O" then went out to The Bank night club. Being a single group of girls, we got to sit "VIP". It was really so cool ;) but at least we got a nice palce to sit for the night and some free drinks! I danced and no one knew I was preggers!
The majority of our trip was going out to eat, shopping, laying out...all fun things for me to do with out the kiddos!

Fourth of July Weekend

We spent most of the 4th of July weekend with our neighbors! Several familys got together for a bbq then went to Coroporate Woods to watch the fireworks. Carter got scared of the sound, but Jack loved every minute of them!

Memorial Day Weekend...

We went to the lake of the Ozarks on Memorial Day weekend and stayed at uncle Jeff's lake house! We had fun with the boys, but it was challenging to keep them on schedule with meals and naps. Jack did not want to miss anything so he had a hard time napping. Carter and Daddy went fishing and we went on some boat rides. The boys liked Uncle Mikey's boat and walking down two houses to see Nana and Papa Wright.

Mikey and Christy were married in May at the Lake of the Ozarks. They had a wedding reception a week later in down town KC. It was a fun night for us with out the kiddos! We danced a little, well mostly Jason, mingled with family and friends, and ate some really good food!

In March we finally had enough snow for Carter to go sledding!
Jason, Carter, and Jack all had button down shirts on that I had ironed a few days before. We were getting ready to go to church. I iron Jason's shirts all the time, but I don't iron kid clothes very often. I thought it would be a good photo opp.

Dad and Barb watched the kids one night while Jason and I went to the "Heart Ball". It was a benefit auction and dinner for the American Heart Association. Jason won golf lessons and I won teeth whitening in the silent auction. I returned my pricey dress to Nordstroms when I found this one at Stinemart on clearance for $24! I was so excited about that and the free food and drinks that night! We had a fun time and great dinner with his coworkers!

Monster Jam '09

We had a great time at Monster Jam this year. After being hyped up about it for a week, the pit party before, and going to lunch...by the middle of the show Carter was asleep on my lap ;)

Carter is not the average 3 year old (at least his parents think so).

He has his typical moments of not listening to us or acting a fool ... running and jumping all over the house when he needs to get his energy out, but overall he is such a happy, sweet, and smart boy that we love soooo much!

Lately he loves to play pbs computer games...it

amazes me how well he has mastered the computer.

One day I left the you tube web site minimized, then got in the shower. When I got out he was laughing and enjoying videos of other babies and kids in the videos. He showed me how he could pick the next video from the list on the screen and play it! I did not even touch a computer mouse until I was in middle school, I think...

He has been an excellent big brother so far! He is very protective of Jack. Now he can "decode" what Jack is saying or wants then tells us.

We love it when he opens his arms out real wide and says "I love you this much".

From putting on his shoes by himself, buttoning up his shirt, and throwing a foot ball with such force and aim ... Carter is growing up faster than we all think.

Trip to Colorado...

The boys were so excited to try out the pool in the hotel. In Burlington we visited all of our old friends and had a poker night before heading out to Castle Rock to visit the Jones Family.

Jack could not wait to leave our hotel room. He loved to run up and down the hall with Carter...I had to keep saying "shhhh...inside voices guys"

Jack @ Monkey Business

I took Jack on a special trip to Monkey Business while Carter was at school one day. We got to spend a few hours there free with our church group. He enjoys his one on one time with Mommy, but I think Carter would have a blast at Monkey Biz...I might need to bring some help next time. They have rooms of giant blow up slides and bounce houses....I was one of a few moms who actually tried them out - we had fun!

An online scrapbook for the Family...

My good friend Emily told me to start a blog for my family. She said that it could be like an online "scrapbook" that will hopefully always be around, and it is a good way to share events and photos with family and friends. I hope I will be able keep this up to date, and I know it will be less time consuming than making a real scrap book. Hopefully I will be able to look back in the archives and share this with our kids when they get older!

New Years Eve....

New Years Eve (the morning of) this 2008, Jack got tubes put in his ears. We had to be at Shawnee Mission at 6AM. Poor Jack could not eat or drink anything that morning so Jason and I had to be creative and keep him entertained to distract him of his normal routine of milk and instant oatmeal! The surgery was so quick. The worst part was handing him off the the nurse and walking away then trying to console him afterwards. He was not "feeling" the anestiea. After we got home and Jack had a nap...everything was back to normal! Knock on wood....no more ear infections so far!
